Balwin Padel Tour Returns to Waterfall City for Second Edition This Weekend

Following the remarkable success of the inaugural Balwin Padel Tour, Balwin Padel proudly announces the second edition, taking place this weekend at Balwin Padel Waterfall City, Johannesburg’s premier indoor padel venue.

From Friday to Sunday (November 7–9), spectators and padel enthusiasts will experience three days of high-intensity competition, showcasing many of South Africa’s best players across the men’s and women’s divisions. The tournament structure includes the Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals, with all matches played in a Best of 3 Sets format and silver points at deuce — ensuring fast, dynamic, and crowd-pleasing padel.

Returning to compete are several top national athletes, including Balwin Padel ambassadors and leading players:
Adam van Harte, Aidan Carrazedo, Chevaan Davids, Joel van Rensburg, Josh Deutschmann, Sebastian Brokmann.

Waterfall City offers world-class playing conditions with MejorSet courts and Mondo turf, the same court technology used on the global Premier Padel circuit — ensuring a professional playing experience regardless of weather conditions.

“With the Balwin Padel Tour, our mission is clear: accelerate professional padel in South Africa and help build local stars,” says Sebastian Brokmann, Managing Director of Balwin Padel. “Padel is becoming the new way of doing business and building communities. The energy at Waterfall City is unmatched, and this weekend will show why South Africa is quickly becoming a global padel destination.”

“Balwin has always been about creating exceptional lifestyle experiences,” adds Steve Brookes, CEO of Balwin Properties. “Padel is bringing people together in a unique way — it builds friendships, business relationships, and communities. Watching Waterfall City become a true hub for padel reinforces our belief that this sport is just getting started in South Africa.”

The Balwin Padel Tour forms part of Balwin Padel’s long-term strategy to establish a structured and impactful tournament calendar, enabling South African players to compete more frequently, earn ranking points, and prepare for future international opportunities.
